Have you been living under a rock? His chili kit has been on the market since the mid 70's. Carroll Shelby was the co founder of the International Chili Society and he started the first ever Chili cook off in Terlingua, Texas. Carroll Shelby knows his chili as any good Texan would.

That stuff is in-fucking-credible. Ever since I saw it the first time, we've been using it for chili. It's wonderful and great. And delicious. I hope you bought it...

I use this as the base of my chili, and it is awesome. Although I have to add a lot more spices to suit my taste.
